Traditional skills...

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Joseph A Younger. I am an artist who loves life and will work hard to get the job done on any project. Every day I continue to work hard on my skills; either in the world of 3d or my drawing ability. When I went to the Art Institute of Colorado for my BA, it was like a dream coming true. I couldn’t believe that I was actually going to college for my passion to study to be a professional artist. During my time at the Art Institute of Colorado I met some of the greatest people in my life. Art instructors guided me in the right path and I am very grateful for that. School gave me something I never really had and that was confidence in my craft and taking it to the next level.

During my time at the Art Institute of Colorado, I’d take the time to learn 3d modeling because I do have the love and passion for video games.  I’ve been playing video game since the first Atari and Nintendo and I couldn’t get enough and I’ve always wanted to know what it takes to make a video game.  So, I know how to 3d model in programs like, Maya, 3ds Max and Zbrush.  By using these programs it has made me more unique of an Artist and opened my horizons to video game companies. I’m so eager to learn more about video games and I want to start at an entry level position that fit my skills the most.

I’m very thankful for having "Evert Brown" as my 2d animation teacher.  I love 2d animation because I have more control, than I do in any 3d program.  I enjoy designing whatever comes to mind or suggested by a customer.  What really helps me come up with ideas is looking for reference before I even put the pencil to the paper.  Then within hours of my time, I can produce images like this one for production use.
